Derrick Casey Fry, Assault Resulting In Serious Bodily Injury, Oklahoma 2015

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – Derrick Casey Fry, a/k/a Derrek Casey Fry, a 35-year-old man from Nashoba, Oklahoma, has been sentenced to 50 months imprisonment and 3 years of Supervised Release for Assault Resulting In Serious Bodily Injury.

The crime occurred on June 23, 2015, in the Eastern District of Oklahoma, within the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States, in Indian Country. The defendant, an Indian, assaulted James Belvin, resulting in serious bodily injury.

The investigation was led by the Choctaw Nation Tribal Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Fry was indicted in July 2015 and pleaded guilty in August 2015.

The Honorable James H. Payne, District Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, presided over the hearing.
