PITTSBURGH – In a shocking turn of events, a citizen of Guatemala has been sentenced to 37 months imprisonment for illegally reentering the United States and failing to register as a sex offender.
Edward Jacinto Garcia, 30, of Guatemala, was found in Butler County, Pennsylvania, after being arrested and charged with driving under the influence by the Butler Township Police Department.
According to information presented to the Court on July 6, 2015, Jacinto Garcia had been deported and removed from the United States on October 6, 2011, after being convicted in the State of Nebraska of sexual assault of a minor, 1st degree, and serving a period of imprisonment.
