Edward Lee Nelson, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, West Virginia 2020

A Marshall County man has admitted to a firearms charge, according to a recent investigation.

Edward Lee Nelson, a 29-year-old resident of Moundsville, West Virginia, pleaded guilty to one count of ‘Unlawful Possession of Ammunition’ on an unspecified date in Marshall County. This charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.

Nelson’s guilty plea stems from an incident in November 2020, in which he was found to be in possession of 20 cartridges of ammunition. As a result of a prior conviction, Nelson is prohibited from having firearms.
