Eric Bahre, 41, Sentenced to 15 Years for Child Porn Distribution in West Palm Beach
Miami – In a disturbing case of child exploitation, Eric Bahre, a 41-year-old Massachusetts man, was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison and ordered to pay $33,500 in restitution to victims. Bahre was convicted of 15 counts of distributing child pornography in West Palm Beach federal court.
According to the investigation, Bahre sent dozens of videos of child pornography to a woman in South Florida through a chatroom in the summer of 2023. He emphasized that the videos were for her to share with her ‘child’. The videos included the sado-masochistic abuse of infants and toddlers.
HSI West Palm Beach and HSI Springfield federal agents, along with the Westfield Police Department, Hampden County Sheriff’s Office, and the Massachusetts State Police, found electronic devices containing child exploitation material at Bahre’s house. They also discovered evidence of his communications with the woman and others in chatrooms dedicated to child pornography distribution.
U.S. Attorney Markenzy Lapointe for the Southern District of Florida and Special Agent in Charge Anthony Salisbury of Homeland Security Investigations announced the sentence. Assistant U.S. Attorney Gregory Schiller prosecuted the case.
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse. The program marshals federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who sexually exploit children, and to identify and rescue victims.
