On May 28, 2026, federal agents in Kansas City, Kansas, busted a group of illegal aliens with fake green cards. The phony docs were discovered during a search warrant execution, leading to the arrest of three individuals: Mariano Jeronimo-Pacheco, 33, from Mexico; Yolanda Mendoza-Emiliano, 33, from Mexico; and Santos Ramirez-Ramirez, 38, from Guatemala. They’re all charged with fraud and misuse of visas, permits, and other documents.
The arrests didn’t stop there. Four other defendants were taken into custody and later indicted on immigration charges. Zenon Garcia Basurto, 36, and Pedro Antonio-Perez, 30, both from Mexico, were charged with unlawful reentry after deportation. Gustavo Adolfo Guardado-Menjivar, 39, from El Salvador, and Mario Perez-Morales, 48, from Guatemala, faced the same charges.
Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) is handling the cases, with Assistant U.S. Attorneys David Zabel, Jabari Wamble, and Michelle McFarlane prosecuting the indictments against Jeronimo-Pacheco, Mendoza-Emiliano, and Ramirez-Ramirez, respectively.
In a separate case, Arisdal Adame-Molina, 33, a Mexican national, was indicted on one count of unlawful reentry after deportation. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is investigating this case.
