Todd James Mitchell, a 54-year-old Crawfordville, Florida resident, has been slapped with federal charges for possessing a firearm and ammunition as a convicted felon, as well as having an unregistered firearm silencer. The indictment stems from an investigation by the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. Mitchell’s arraignment was held in federal court in Tallahassee, Florida, with a jury trial scheduled for September 8, 2026.
If convicted, Mitchell faces up to 15 years in prison for the felony firearm possession charge and an additional 10 years for the unregistered silencer.
