A Harrisburg man’s alleged return to a life of crime ended abruptly when authorities found him with two loaded handguns, including one with an extended magazine, in a local residence. Aqudre Quailes, 28, had absconded from state parole in December 2020, but his freedom was short-lived.
In March 2021, police found Quailes living in a Harrisburg residence with the loaded handguns, loose ammunition, and crack cocaine. His past was riddled with multiple felony convictions, including drug trafficking.
The discovery sparked a federal investigation, which ultimately led to Quailes’ downfall. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the U.S. Marshals Service, and the Harrisburg City Police Department collaborated on the case.
On [date], United States District Judge Jennifer P. Wilson sentenced Quailes to 10 years in prison, followed by a 3-year term of supervised release. Assistant United States Attorney Carlo D. Marchioli prosecuted the case.
