A Los Angeles creep spent over a decade grooming and sex trafficking minors online, coercing them into creating and sending explicit content, and even using hotels in Pennsylvania to abuse them in person.
John Douglas Burch, 56, was convicted at trial in January 2024 of using interstate commerce to entice a minor into prostitution and sex acts, and two counts of traveling for illicit sex with a minor.
The abuse started when the 14-year-old victim was forced to produce and send explicit videos and images to Burch, who would then encourage her to engage in commercial sex acts with strangers in Pennsylvania.
Burch was caught after traveling to Pennsylvania twice between 2014 and 2015 to sexually assault the victim at a Montgomery County hotel.
