A Pittsburgh pedophile has been handed a 7.5-year sentence for distributing and possessing child sex abuse material. Marissa Segal, 32, was convicted of distributing the vile content via a mobile app in July 2025.
The horrific images and videos included footage of infant victims as young as four months old, and victims being subjected to bestiality. Segal had knowledge the child was being abused when she shared the material.
She also possessed child sex abuse material featuring prepubescent minors. U.S. District Judge J. Nicholas Ranjan ordered Segal to pay $13,000 in restitution to her victims.
The case was brought under Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sex abuse. Assistant U.S. Attorney Kelly M. Locher prosecuted the case, while the FBI led the investigation.
