A Choctaw man has been sentenced to two years in prison for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, announced U.S. Attorney Gregory K. Davis.

Otis McGee, 28, of Choctaw, Mississippi, received the sentence from U.S. District Judge Henry T. Wingate, Jr. McGee will also serve three years of supervised release following his prison term.

The crime occurred on the tribal lands of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians. McGee pled guilty to the charge on January 29, 2015.
