Kevin Arrazola-Canaca, 26, and Eddy Otel Arrazola-Canaca, 34, two Honduran nationals residing illegally in Utah, were arrested on July 15, 2026, for possessing approximately 7,500 fentanyl pills with intent to distribute in the District of Utah. The bust occurred after law enforcement executed search warrants on a vehicle and residence in Tooele County and Kearns, Utah. According to court documents, Eddy was stopped by law enforcement during a traffic stop, where detectives found approximately 295 grams of fentanyl pills hidden in the dashboard of his car, totaling around 2,950 pills. Later that day, detectives searched a residence where Kevin was found with approximately 455 grams of fentanyl pills, totaling around 4,550 pills, and $17,503 in cash.
The investigation was conducted jointly by the Utah County Major Crimes Task Force (UCMC) and the Department of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). The Arrazola-Canaca brothers are charged with possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute and are scheduled to appear in court on July 23, 2026.
