Andre Marvin Marneal Jenkins, aka ‘Meech’, 28, of South Charleston, West Virginia, played a key role in a drug trafficking organization that distributed fentanyl and methamphetamine in the Charleston area between June 2024 and May 2025. Jenkins’ operation was busted on April 10, 2025, when law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at a Charleston apartment, seizing fentanyl and a loaded Glock 17 9mm pistol. The investigation led to the discovery of over 5,300 pills containing fentanyl and other substances, along with three additional firearms, in a storage unit in Dunbar.
Jenkins’ crimes were part of a larger operation that involved eight other defendants who pleaded guilty to participating in the distribution of fentanyl and methamphetamine in the Charleston area. Four additional defendants pleaded guilty in separate cases related to the same federal investigation.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Network Team (MDENT) conducted the investigation, which was commended by United States Attorney Moore Capito. United States District Judge Joseph R. Goodwin imposed a sentence of 10 years in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release, on Jenkins for conspiracy to distribute fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
The sentence marks a significant blow to the drug trafficking organization and sends a message to those involved in the distribution of fentanyl and other illicit substances in the Charleston area.
