Alexander German, 28, of Lawrence, Massachusetts, played a key role in a fentanyl trafficking organization that distributed the deadly drug across New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Beginning in the fall of 2022, German served as a runner for the organization, conducting multiple hand-to-hand drug sales of fentanyl in Lawrence, Mass. The organization used social media, mobile messaging apps, and a dedicated phone line to take drug orders and send runners to make deliveries.
German’s actions were part of a larger investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration into a Lawrence-based organization that peddled fentanyl across state lines. The New Hampshire Homeland Security Task Force brought the case against German, who pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute fentanyl.
The consequences of German’s actions are clear: 38 months in federal prison and 3 years of supervised release.
