JACKSONVILLE, FL – Kimberly Michelle Claridy Walker (46) and Neal Merrell Walker (51), the king and queen of a brutal Jacksonville drug operation peddling the dangerous synthetic stimulant “flakka,” received a combined 50 years in federal prison today. U.S. District Judge Timothy J. Corrigan handed down the 25-year sentences for conspiracy to distribute narcotics and conspiracy to commit money laundering, effectively dismantling their criminal enterprise. The Walkers aren’t just losing their freedom; they’re forfeiting a lavish lifestyle built on poison, including over $167,000 in cash, a fleet of luxury vehicles – a 2015 BMW 5501, a 2015 Lexus IS 250, a 2013 Audi AS L Quattro, and a 2020 Ryker Rally Edition motorcycle – and a hoard of bling: Rolex watches, gold, diamond jewelry, and designer clothes.
Court documents paint a chilling picture of the Walkers’ operation, which ran from at least July 2018 to April 2021. They weren’t casual dealers; they ran a 24/7 “trap house” staffed with rotating shifts of sellers – usually three per day – ensuring a constant flow of flakka and other narcotics onto Jacksonville’s streets. The scale was significant: kilogram quantities of drugs moved each week. This wasn’t about making a quick buck; it was a systematic, calculated effort to flood the city with a highly addictive and dangerous substance.
The Walkers weren’t amateurs when it came to hiding their profits. Between April 2019 and January 2020, they laundered approximately $120,000 through a classic “smurfing” scheme: making numerous cash deposits under $10,000 to evade federal reporting requirements. The dirty money was then converted into cashier’s checks and used to purchase six properties in Jacksonville, primarily through Duval County tax deed auctions. They thought they could hide in plain sight, building an empire with blood money. They were wrong.
On April 13, 2021, law enforcement finally shut down the operation with a raid on the Walkers’ residence. The haul was damning: over $148,000 in cash, approximately two kilograms of synthetic narcotics, drug packaging materials, digital scales, and a .38 caliber pistol tucked under the mattress in their bedroom. The luxury items found throughout the house served as a stark reminder of the profits reaped from human misery. But the Walkers weren’t alone in facing justice. Ten other members of their organization have also been sentenced for their roles in the conspiracy.
The fallout continues. Marcus Antonio Peterson (37), a supplier, received 7 years and 11 months. Sellers David Lee Geathers (26) got 6 years and 8 months, Mar’Quez Maurice Mickler (22) 5 years and 6 months, Ramone Lazai Astin (37) 5 years, Eugene Antwonn Farmer (25) 4 years and 2 months, and Alfred Eugene Bell (38) 3 years and 4 months. Others received lighter sentences: Michael Shaquille Lee (25) 3 years and 4 months, Antwan Le’Queze Major (25) 4 years’ probation, Porschee Laneal Walker (30) 4 years’ probation, and Brandiesa Tylese Williams (26) 4 years’ probation. Geathers and Williams were also ordered to forfeit over $18,000 and four firearms, while Bell forfeited $5,654 seized during his arrest.
“We share our partners’ unwavering commitment to help keep Florida’s communities safe,” stated ATF Tampa Field Division’s Acting Special Agent in Charge Richard Coes. “These individuals earned steep sentences for committing serious federal crimes.” Ronald A. Loecker, IRS-CI Acting Special Agent in Charge, added, “These sentencings are important victories for the American public… One of our most powerful weapons is our ability to work hand-in-hand with law enforcement partners to unravel intricate money laundering schemes and seize associated assets.” The investigation was a joint effort by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Internal Revenue Service – Criminal Investigation, and the Drug Enforcement Administration, alongside the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. The message is clear: dealing death for profit will not be tolerated.
