Florida Man Pleads Guilty to Cocaine Charge

A Florida man, Josue Vega, 37, has pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to distribute in a Rochester court.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Vega sold 93 grams of cocaine in Rochester on two separate occasions, June 2 and June 15, 2017. He was also observed obtaining 31 grams of cocaine with the intent to distribute it to others on August 2, 2017.

Vega’s plea is the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge James J. Hunt, New York Field Division.

The charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $1,000,000 fine.

Vega’s sentencing is scheduled for February 6, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. before U.S. District Judge Elizabeth A. Wolford.
