A Wichita man has been charged in a 2013 bank robbery. Frederick Aaron Cunningham, 45, was indicted by a federal grand jury for the crime.
The indictment alleges that Cunningham robbed the Intrust Bank branch inside the Dillons store at 3211 S. Seneca on Oct. 28, 2013.
He is facing a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000 if convicted.
Cunningham is currently in custody in Wisconsin on unrelated charges, but will be brought to Kansas to face the new charges.
The FBI and the Wichita Police Department investigated the case, and Assistant U.S. Attorney David Lind is prosecuting.
In other federal grand jury indictments, several other individuals have been charged with various crimes.
However, this article focuses on the bank robbery charge against Cunningham.
