Robert B. Pressley, Child Pornography Distribution, Georgia 2014

Leesburg resident Robert B. Pressley has been sentenced to 12 years in federal prison for distributing child pornography, according to a press release from the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Georgia.

The 35-year-old was sentenced by Judge Louis Sands on June 12, 2014, after entering a guilty plea on March 31, 2014. Pressley admitted to downloading and sharing child pornography using various peer-to-peer file-sharing programs over many years. He possessed a total of 53 video files and 39 still image files.

“Mr. Pressley’s case serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing threat that cyber predators pose to our children,” said U.S. Attorney Michael Moore. “Every time he shared or viewed these images, he was victimizing those innocent children again.”

The investigation into Pressley’s activities was conducted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security – Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Assistant United States Attorney Jim Crane represented the Government in the prosecution.

“Our efforts to combat child pornography are relentless,” said Moore. “We will continue to work tirelessly to protect our children from these predators.”
