Hazeon Kidd, Felon in Possession of Firearm and Ammunition, Pennsylvania 2024

Hazeon Kidd, a 24-year-old resident of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has pleaded guilty to Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition, a federal crime.

The case began on May 18, 2024, when Kidd was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over by the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police. A search of the vehicle revealed a loaded firearm in the proximity of where Kidd was seated.

As a result of his previous convictions in federal court for firearm and drug trafficking offenses, it is illegal for Kidd to possess firearms.

Kidd, 24, pleaded guilty to one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition before United States District Judge Cathy Bissoon.

The law provides for a total sentence of 15 years in prison, a fine of $250,000, or both. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed is based upon the seriousness of the offense and the prior criminal history of the defendant.

Assistant United States Attorney Brendan T. Conway is prosecuting this case on behalf of the government. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, in conjunction with the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, conducted the investigation that led to the prosecution of Kidd.

Judge Bissoon has scheduled sentencing for July 24, 2025 at 10:00 am. The exact sentence will be determined at that time.

Hazeon Kidd’s prior convictions include firearm and drug trafficking offenses, making it illegal for him to possess firearms. The maximum sentence he faces is 15 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.
