Henry Underwood, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Indiana 2019

FORT WAYNE, Indiana – A Fort Wayne man was found guilty of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, announced United States Attorney Clifford D. Johnson.

Henry Underwood, 28 years old, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was found guilty following a three-day jury trial presided over by United States District Court Judge Holly A. Brady.

Underwood was found guilty of the single-count Indictment charging him with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, for conduct occurring in Fort Wayne, Indiana, in December of 2019.

The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives with the assistance of the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Indiana State Police laboratory.

This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Stacey R. Speith and Anthony W. Geller.

Underwood will be scheduled for sentencing by separate order of the Court. Any specific sentence to be imposed will be determined by the District Court Judge after consideration of federal statutes and the United States Sentencing Guidelines.
