A shocking case of police brutality has rocked the streets of Eastern Oklahoma. Joshua Gabriel Blake, a 31-year-old Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper, pleaded guilty to depriving a man of his rights under color of law.
The crime took place on January 28, 2025, when Blake, while on duty, kicked the victim in the head. This egregious act of force left the victim with severe injuries and a lasting impact on his life.
The FBI and Oklahoma Highway Patrol launched an investigation into the incident, leading to Blake’s guilty plea. Assistant U.S. Attorney Nicole Paladino represented the United States in the case.
Blake’s sentencing is pending, with a U.S. District Court Judge set to determine the punishment after reviewing the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other factors.
