CONCORD – A relentless Manchester bandit, Jesse Hippolite, 37, faced federal justice yesterday after being sentenced to a five-year stretch behind bars for robbing a credit union in the Queen City. U.S. District Judge Paul J. Barbadoro handed down the sentence, according to Acting U.S. Attorney Jay McCormack.
Hippolite’s brazen crime spree reached its climax when he robbed the credit union on February 22, 2025. The 37-year-old donned a mask and brandished a note demanding $100,000 in crisp hundred-dollar bills with no dye packs. He made off with $3,139 before bolting from the scene, only to be identified through surveillance footage.
“The defendant is a prolific bank robber with a long history of victimizing bank employees,” McCormack said. “His choices have made him a danger to the public, and thanks to law enforcement, he will spend the next five years in federal prison.”
Hippolite’s criminal resume includes multiple state and federal convictions for robbery in New York. His first brush with the justice system came in 2011 during a city-wide bank heist, where he demanded cash through threats of violence without ever using a weapon. He was released from federal prison in February 2023 after serving time for those convictions.
“Jesse Hippolite was a crime spree unto himself, robbing a dozen banks before this one,” said Ted E. Docks, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Boston Division. “This sentence nips his burgeoning bank robbery career in the bud and holds him accountable for menacing innocent people who are just trying to make an honest living.”
The investigation was a collaborative effort between the FBI and Manchester Police Department, with valuable support from the U.S. Probation Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney Alexander S. Chen prosecuted the case.
