A federal judge in Los Angeles, California, has sentenced Ismael Garcia, Jr. to 10 years in prison for his role in a major narcotics trafficking operation.

Garcia, 38, of Los Angeles, was arrested in 2025 after a lengthy investigation by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).

According to court documents, Garcia was involved in the distribution of large quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine in the Los Angeles area. The operation, which spanned several years, resulted in the seizure of over 10 kilograms of methamphetamine and 5 kilograms of cocaine, with a street value of over $1 million.
