Fort Wayne Woman Sentenced to 70 Months for Methamphetamine Distribution

Fort Wayne, IN – In a shocking turn of events, 39-year-old Jamie Lynn Lantz, a resident of Fort Wayne, Indiana, has been sentenced to 70 months in prison for her role in distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.

According to court documents, the case unfolded on February 25, 2019, when a confidential informant, working with the Fort Wayne Police Department, made contact with Lantz. She offered to sell the informant two ounces of methamphetamine, which was later found to be 55.4 grams of 100% pure crystal methamphetamine.

The informant and a narcotics detective from the Fort Wayne Police Department met Lantz at a downtown Fort Wayne location, where she handed over the methamphetamine in exchange for $1,100.00.

The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Fort Wayne Police Department. Assistant United States Attorney Sarah E. Nokes handled the case.

Lantz’s sentence includes 70 months in prison followed by 2 years of supervised release. This harsh punishment serves as a warning to those involved in the distribution of methamphetamine and other illicit substances.
