Jason R. Moore Sentenced to 60 Years for Sexually Abusing Child in Fiji – 2013-2016
A Florida man has been sentenced to 60 years in prison for sexually abusing a child while traveling in Fiji.
Jason R. Moore, 43, of Milton, Florida, sexually abused a child on multiple occasions during trips to Fiji in 2013 and 2016, according to court documents.
Moore was arrested in Santa Rosa County by special agents from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) in late 2022.
A team of investigators from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), FDLE, and the New York State Police worked together to bring Moore to justice.
Acting Assistant Attorney General Nicole M. Argentieri, U.S. Attorney Jason R. Coody for the Northern District of Florida, and Special Agent in Charge John Condon of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Tampa made the announcement.
The case was prosecuted by Trial Attorney Adam Braskich of the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section and Assistant U.S. Attorney David L. Goldberg for the Northern District of Florida.
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Justice Department to combat the epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
