Child Pornography Distribution Lands Bradford County Man 14 Years in Prison
Scranton, PA – In a disturbing case of child exploitation, 37-year-old Jay Holloway of Bradford County, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to 168 months in prison for distributing child pornography, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
On May 17, 2023, members of the Pennsylvania State Police and the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General served a search warrant at Holloway’s residence, where they seized and analyzed digital devices, including cellular phones and computers. The forensic analysis revealed a staggering number of child pornography images and videos, totaling approximately 3,369 images and 965 videos.
The investigation, conducted by Homeland Security Investigations–Philadelphia Division, Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Section, and the Pennsylvania State Police, uncovered evidence that Holloway distributed child pornography to others via Telegram, a cloud-based encrypted messaging application.
Assistant United States Attorney Tatum Wilson prosecuted the case, which was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
