FORT WAYNE, INDIANA – A 63-month prison sentence has been handed down to Jermesha Davis, a 28-year-old Fort Wayne woman found with methamphetamine and heroin.

Jermesha Davis was found in possession of methamphetamine and heroin, along with other illicit substances, after a search of her residence on July 28, 2018. The search was part of an ongoing narcotics trafficking investigation led by the Fort Wayne Police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

The evidence against Davis included a cell phone that was being tracked by the Fort Wayne Police, as well as a vehicle belonging to a suspect in the investigation. A search of Davis’ home also turned up quantities of heroin, methamphetamine, and cocaine, as well as a cutting agent often used by drug traffickers, and two firearms in the kitchen.

The case against Davis was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, with the assistance of the Fort Wayne Police Department. The case was handled by Assistant United States Attorney Lesley J. Miller Lowery.

The 63-month sentence, which will be followed by five years of supervised release, marks a significant blow to the narcotics trafficking ring in Fort Wayne.
