Jordan Lee Jobe, Heroin Conspiracy, West Virginia 2022

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – In a stark reminder of the grip of drug addiction on West Virginia’s communities, Jordan Lee Jobe, 30, from Leon, has been sentenced to two years and nine months in federal prison for her role in a heroin conspiracy.

According to court documents, Jobe, alongside Edward Daniel Walker Jr., conspired to distribute heroin in the Leon area of Mason County from April 2022 to September 25, 2022. She admitted to distributing drugs for Walker and transporting him to acquire more, a chilling revelation of the depths of their operation.

The feds finally laid their hands on Jobe during a traffic stop on Interstate 64 near Hurricane on September 25, 2022. The stop turned grim as officers discovered approximately 105 grams of suspected heroin and a firearm in her vehicle, with Jobe confessing to the intent to sell the drugs.

Jobe’s activities did not end there. A subsequent search warrant at a Barboursville motel room where she was staying yielded nearly 204 grams of heroin, two firearms, and $1,000—cash she claimed was from past drug sales. The same day, law enforcement executed another warrant at her residence on Durham Road in Leon, where they found an additional 135 grams of heroin and $2,000 on Walker.

Walker, known as “Jetty,” was sentenced to six years and six months for his part in the conspiracy after pleading guilty. United States Attorney Will Thompson praised the investigative efforts of the West Virginia State Police and the Drug and Violent Crime Task Force West for their relentless pursuit of justice.

The sentence was imposed by United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers, with Assistant United States Attorney Stephanie Taylor prosecuting the case. For those seeking more information or court documents, they can find them on PACER by searching for Case No. 3:23-cr-40.
