Erie Man Sentenced to 5 Years for Receiving Child Pornography

Erie, Pa, – In a shocking turn of events, a resident of Erie, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced in federal court to 5 years in jail and 5 years supervised release on his conviction of violating federal laws relating to the sexual exploitation of children.

The sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Susan Paradise Baxter, who imposed the 5-year jail term on Jordan Lee Perrin, 25, on his conviction of receiving computer images and movies depicting prepubescent minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

According to information presented to the court, Perrin’s arrest was made possible through the efforts of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Erie County Detectives Bureau, who led the investigation into the case.

Assistant United States Attorney Christian A. Trabold prosecuted this case on behalf of the government, and United States Attorney Cindy K. Chung commended the agencies involved in the investigation for their tireless efforts in bringing Perrin to justice.

The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
