Jude Sereme, Crack Cocaine Distribution, Florida 2012

A shocking case of organized crime has come to an end in Fort Myers, Florida, as six individuals, including Jude Sereme, have been sentenced to federal prison for their involvement in a crack cocaine distribution organization.

U.S. District Judge John E. Steele handed down the following sentences:

  • Jude Sereme (29, Miami) – Life Imprisonment
  • Rick Jean (25, Miami) – 20 years’ imprisonment
  • Wilmane Jean (22, Miami) – 10 years’ imprisonment
  • Jophaney Hyppolite (28, Miami) – Life Imprisonment
  • Eric Bonita (25, Miami) – Life Imprisonment
  • Rashid Francois (26, Miami) – 20 years’ imprisonment
  • Jennifer Sander (30, Fort Myers) – 10 years, 10 months’ imprisonment
  • Michael Dupin (29, Miami) – 3 years, 10 months’ imprisonment

The defendants operated a drug trafficking organization (DTO) between Miami and Fort Myers, distributing crack cocaine in the North Fort Myers and South Fort Myers area between July 2010 and October 2011.

A three-week trial ended on October 5, 2012, with Jude Sereme, Neheme Ductant, Rick Jean, Wilmane Jean, Jophaney Hyppolite, and Eric Bonita found guilty. Rashid Francois, Jennifer Sander, and Michael Dupin pleaded guilty.

This investigation was the result of a comprehensive effort by local law enforcement agencies, including the Cape Coral Police Department, Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Drug Enforcement Administration, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, and the Miami Police Department.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jesus M. Casas prosecuted the case, bringing these individuals to justice for their crimes.

The defendants’ actions had a significant impact on the community, and their sentencing is a step towards reducing the spread of crack cocaine in the area.
