Keeshon Grier, 28, Indicted on 10 Counts of Heroin, Cocaine, and Firearm Trafficking in Pittsburgh

A federal grand jury in Pittsburgh has indicted Keeshon Grier, 28, on 10 counts of violating federal narcotics, firearms, and motor vehicle laws, according to a superseding indictment announced by Acting United States Attorney Troy Rivetti.

The indictment alleges that Grier possessed with intent to distribute and distributed quantities of mixtures and substances containing heroin, fentanyl, fluorofentanyl, metonitazene, cocaine, and crack cocaine between October and November 2024. He is also charged with possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime and possession of a firearm and ammunition after having been convicted of multiple prior felonies.

Federal law prohibits possession of a firearm or ammunition by a convicted felon. Additionally, Grier is charged with the knowing possession of stolen vehicles that have crossed a state boundary.

Assistant United States Attorney V. Joseph Sonson is prosecuting this case on behalf of the government. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives conducted the investigation leading to the indictment.

The case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence in communities. As part of this initiative, law enforcement agencies and community organizations work together to identify and address the root causes of violence.

An indictment is an accusation, and Grier is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

The law provides for a maximum total sentence of not less than 25 years and up to life in prison, a fine of up to $25 million, or both. The actual sentence imposed would be based on the seriousness of the offenses and Grier’s prior criminal history.
