Lajuan Fitzpatrick, 25, Wanted in Indiana for Drug Conspiracy and Murder Charge
A deadly game of cat and mouse has been unleashed in the streets of Indiana as 25-year-old Lajuan Fitzpatrick, a resident of Danville, Illinois, is now being hunted by the authorities for allegedly being involved in a drug conspiracy that led to the murder of an individual.
According to the United States Attorney’s Office, Fitzpatrick has ties to Gary and Lake Station, Indiana, as well as the South Side of Chicago and Danville, Illinois. This extensive network of connections has raised concerns among law enforcement officials and residents alike.
The indictment against Fitzpatrick was unsealed today, revealing a serious charge of drug conspiracy. Furthermore, he is also accused of using a firearm in relation to a drug trafficking crime, which ultimately resulted in the loss of a life.
The public is being urged to assist the authorities in locating Fitzpatrick. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives at 800-ATF-Guns or the Federal Bureau of Investigation at 219-942-4900.
It is crucial to note that Fitzpatrick should be considered armed and dangerous. If spotted, residents are advised not to attempt apprehension and instead call 911 immediately.
The United States Attorney’s Office emphasized that an indictment is merely an allegation and that all persons charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
Assistant U.S. Attorneys David J. Nozick and Dean Lanter are leading the prosecution in this case, which is the result of a collaborative effort between the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, East Chicago Police, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Gary Police, Hammond Police, Lake County Sheriff’s Department, and Lake County High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area officers and agents.
