Assault Case Rocks Eagle Butte Community
A disturbing incident of assault has left a victim with serious bodily injury, and now the perpetrator, Lucian Rising Sun, is facing federal charges. The 28-year-old man, also known as Sonny Rising Sun, was indicted by a federal grand jury on March 9, 2020, for Assault Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury.
Rising Sun appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Mark A. Moreno on March 11, 2020, and entered a plea of not guilty to the indictment.
