Randall Seeley Jr, Child Porn Receipt, New York 2023

A Lyons man, Randall Seeley, Jr., 46, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for receiving and possessing child pornography.

According to the Department of Justice, U.S. District Judge Charles J. Siragusa handed down the sentence in federal court in Rochester, New York.

Seeley was convicted of receipt of child pornography, a charge that carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, after an investigation by the New York State Police and Homeland Security Investigations.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Kyle P. Rossi described the shocking discovery of hundreds of images and videos of child pornography on Seeley’s electronic devices, including explicit communications with a 13 to 14-year-old minor.

The investigation revealed that Seeley had been engaged in online communications with the minor, during which he solicited and received explicit images and videos. A review of the minor’s social media accounts showed that the communications went back as far as July 2022.

The sentencing is the result of a joint investigation by the New York State Police, under the direction of Major Miklos Szoczei II, and Homeland Security Investigations, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Matthew Scarpino.
