McAlester Man Sentenced 78 Months for Possessing Child Exploitation Material
A 41-year-old McAlester man, BRANDON RAY PARKER, has been sentenced to 78 months imprisonment for possessing material involving the sexual exploitation of minors, federal authorities announced today.
Parker was sentenced by the Honorable Ronald A. White, District Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, in Muskogee. The defendant will remain in custody pending transportation to the designated federal facility where the nonparoleable sentence will be served.
The charge arose from an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
According to court documents, between October 2013 and October 2, 2015, Parker knowingly possessed and attempted to possess visual depictions containing the sexual exploitation of minors. The materials, which involved minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct, were transported in interstate commerce by computer.
Parker’s sentence includes 5 years of supervised release. He is being represented by Assistant United States Attorney Edward Snow.
