Manchester Man Guilty of Child Porn Possession

Warren Robinson, 57, of Manchester, New Hampshire, has pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography, a federal crime that carries a maximum prison sentence of 10 years.

The guilty plea was entered in the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Robinson’s plea comes after a lengthy investigation by the New Hampshire Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Concord Police Department.

Authorities developed information in February 2014 that images of child pornography were being shared from Robinson’s residence. A search warrant was obtained and executed in June 2014, resulting in the seizure of a computer belonging to Robinson that contained dozens of videos depicting young children engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Robinson is scheduled for sentencing in May 2016 and faces a fine of up to $250,000. He will also be required to serve a term of at least 5 years of supervised release.

The case was investigated by the New Hampshire Crimes Against Children Task Force in conjunction with Homeland Security Investigations Manchester, and the police departments of Concord, Manchester, Raymond, and Bedford, New Hampshire. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Nick Abramson.

The guilty plea is a significant blow to Robinson, who will now face the consequences of his actions. The case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat child pornography and protect children from online exploitation.

In related news, the U.S. Attorney’s Office launched Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative in February 2006 to protect children from online exploitation and abuse. The program has been instrumental in identifying and rescuing victims and prosecuting those responsible for these heinous crimes.
