Tallahassee, FL – A chilling case of child exploitation has come to light in the Sunshine State. Mark Robert Clow, 54, of Tallahassee, Florida, has been indicted for distributing, receiving, and possessing material constituting child pornography.
The indictment alleges that Clow distributed, received, and possessed material containing child pornography between June 2017 and September 2021. The pornographic material allegedly found in Clow’s possession involved a minor under the age of 12.
According to the indictment, the charges stem from a federal grand jury investigation. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Meredith L. Steer.
The case was investigated by the Homeland Security Investigations and the Leon County Sheriff’s Office.
An indictment is merely an allegation by a grand jury that a defendant has committed a violation of federal criminal law and is not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent and entitled to a fair trial, during which it will be the government’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt at trial.
Mark Robert Clow made his initial appearance in federal court this afternoon to face the charges. His trial is set for April 25, 2022, at 8:15 a.m., at the United States Courthouse in Tallahassee before the Honorable United States Chief District Judge Mark E. Walker.
