Two Buffalo Men Charged with Fentanyl and Crack Cocaine Trafficking
BUFFALO, N.Y. – In a shocking turn of events, two Buffalo men have been charged with possessing fentanyl and crack cocaine with the intent to distribute. Antonio Martinez, 43, and Dominic Daniels, 38, both of Buffalo, NY, were arrested and charged by criminal complaint with possession with intent to distribute fentanyl. In addition, Daniels is charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
The charges carry a maximum penalty of life in prison. According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeffrey E. Intravatola, who is handling the case, Martinez and Daniels were identified as individuals believed to be engaged in narcotics trafficking during an investigation by the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and the Erie County Sheriff’s Office.
On June 25, 2025, a search warrant was executed for vehicles and residences on Townsend Street and Easton Avenue in Buffalo, associated with and utilized by the defendants for drug trafficking activities. During the searches, investigators seized approximately 2,123 grams of suspected fentanyl, approximately 144 grams of suspected fentanyl pills, approximately 38 grams of crack cocaine, $16,000 in cash, two loaded firearms, drug paraphernalia, and six cellular telephones.
The complaint is the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation Safe Streets Task Force, under the direction of Acting Special Agent-in-Charge Mark Grimm, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, under the direction of Sheriff John Garcia, the Buffalo Police Department, under the direction of Commissioner Alphonso Wright, the U.S. Probation Department, under the direction of Chief Probation Officer Timothy Englert, and Homeland Security Investigations, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Erin Keegan.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
Antonio Martinez and Dominic Daniels, the two Buffalo men charged with fentanyl and crack cocaine trafficking, are currently facing severe penalties. If convicted, they could face a maximum penalty of life in prison. The investigation, led by the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, uncovered a significant amount of drugs and cash, as well as loaded firearms.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office will continue to investigate and prosecute those involved in narcotics trafficking in Buffalo and beyond. As the investigation continues, it remains to be seen what other charges may be brought against Martinez and Daniels.
