WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA – In a harsh verdict, Mary Elizabeth Luongo, 49, of Paden City, West Virginia, was sentenced to 121 months of incarceration for a drug charge, United States Attorney William Ihlenfeld announced.

Luongo pleaded guilty in January 2022 to one count of “Distribution of Methamphetamine,” admitting to selling methamphetamine in December 2020 in Tyler County.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Shawn M. Adkins successfully prosecuted the case on behalf of the government. The Marshall County Drug Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, and the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office conducted a thorough investigation into the matter.
