Meth Dealer Sentenced in Fort Hall
A Fort Hall man has been sentenced to eight months in prison for selling methamphetamine, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Idaho. Charles Eugene Allhands, 52, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance on December 9, 2015.
U.S. Chief District Judge B. Lynn Winmill also ordered Allhands to serve three years of supervised release. The sentence was handed down on an unknown date.
According to the plea agreement, Allhands sold methamphetamine to an individual at his residence on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation on March 8, 2015.
The case was investigated by the Fort Hall Police, the Bingham County Sheriff’s Office, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
U.S. Attorney Wendy J. Olson announced the sentencing in a statement. The case serves as a reminder of the dangers of methamphetamine and the importance of law enforcement working together to combat the problem.
As a result of the investigation and subsequent sentencing, Allhands will spend eight months behind bars and serve three years of supervised release. The case is a significant blow to those involved in the sale and distribution of methamphetamine in the Fort Hall area.
