COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa – Jake Michael Flynn, 39, is facing a long stretch behind bars after receiving a 200-month sentence on federal drug charges, with an additional 180 months tacked on for a firearms violation. The sentence, handed down April 16, 2024, effectively removes Flynn from the streets of Council Bluffs for over sixteen years.
Flynn admitted to his role in a large-scale methamphetamine distribution network that flooded the Council Bluffs area with over 50 kilograms of the drug between October 2022 and April 2023.
