A Williamson County man has been charged with conspiring to manufacture methamphetamine in a Southern Illinois town, federal prosecutors announced Friday.
Jeremieh L. Hodge, 32, of Creal Springs, was indicted on April 2, 2013, in connection with a conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, said U.S. Attorney Stephen R. Wigginton.
The indictment alleges that the offense occurred between 2009 and March 2013, in Williamson, Saline, and Johnson Counties, according to court documents.
Hodge was arraigned in U.S. District Court in Benton on April 8, 2013, and was later released on bond pending a June 10, 2013, jury trial.
If convicted, Hodge faces a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 40 years in prison, a $5,000,000 fine, and 4 years of supervised release, court records show.
The investigation is being conducted by the Illinois State Police, Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, and Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Creal Springs Police Department.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Amanda A. Robertson is prosecuting the case.
