A 37-year-old Beckley man is headed to the clink after a federal judge slammed him with 22 months in the joint for peddling 57 grams of pure meth.

Michael Bailey made the deal for $480 with a confidential informant on August 22, 2024, in Beckley.

It was a setup that ended with Bailey facing the music – a year and 11 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release.

US Attorney Moore Capito praised the Beckley/Raleigh County Drug and Violent Crime Unit, a potluck of lawmen from the ATF, West Virginia State Police, Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office, and Beckley Police Department.

Chief Judge Frank W. Volk handed down the sentence, with Assistant US Attorney Brian D. Parsons leading the prosecution.
