Homer Allen Faison, III, Methamphetamine Trafficking, North Carolina 2025

⏱ 4 min read

Homer Allen Faison, III, a 48-year-old Sampson County resident, was the mastermind behind a massive methamphetamine distribution operation that spanned from California to Eastern North Carolina. Faison’s operation, which lasted from 2020 to May 2023, flooded the streets with at least 220 pounds of highly pure methamphetamine, ruining families and destroying lives. Faison would collect money and take orders from his co-conspirators in North Carolina, then travel to California to purchase bulk methamphetamine from suppliers. He would then coordinate the shipment of the drugs back to Sampson County, where they would be sold out of homes and businesses in the Clinton area.

Faison’s operation was eventually dismantled, and he was convicted by a Raleigh jury on November 19, 2025, of conspiracy to sell methamphetamine and 11 counts of selling methamphetamine. The conviction led to a 50-year federal prison sentence, ensuring that Faison will be off the streets for a long time. U.S. Attorney Ellis Boyle stated that Faison’s sentence serves as a warning to those who engage in similar activities: ‘Drugs Kill, Prison Awaits – Do Right.’

The investigation and prosecution of Faison’s operation were the result of a collaborative effort between law enforcement agencies, including the ATF. Sheriff Jimmy Thornton of Sampson County praised the hard work of the men and women involved in the case, stating that it is an example of how strong partnerships produce real results within the justice system. ATF Special Agent in Charge Alicia Jones also emphasized the importance of dismantling major drug dealing networks, which promote violence and threaten the safety of the entire community.

In total, 10 individuals, including Faison, were charged as part of the drug conspiracy. The case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat the methamphetamine epidemic in North Carolina and beyond.
