Meth Kingpin Holman Pleads Guilty

ABINGDON, VIRGINIA – Robert Holman, a 34-year-old man, has pleaded guilty to one count of conspiring to possess with the intent to distribute and to distribute methamphetamine in and around Virginia and Kentucky. Holman’s guilty plea comes after a thorough investigation by local and federal law enforcement agencies.

The investigation, which was conducted by the Bell County, Kentucky Sheriff’s Office, the Middlesborough, Kentucky Police Department, the Lee County Virginia Sheriff’s Office, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Bristol and Atlanta Field Divisions, revealed a wide-reaching conspiracy that distributed methamphetamine throughout the region.

According to United States Attorney John P. Fishwick Jr., methamphetamine is a highly addictive substance that often leads to other crimes, such as property crime, violence, and domestic abuse. Fishwick Jr. praised the efforts of local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies in fighting the scourge of methamphetamine trafficking in the region.

Assistant United States Attorney Zachary T. Lee prosecuted the case for the United States. The guilty plea comes as part of a larger effort to combat methamphetamine trafficking in the region.

The consequences of methamphetamine addiction can be severe, with users often turning to crime to support their habit. Methamphetamine is also highly addictive, making it difficult for users to quit once they become addicted.

As the region continues to grapple with the issue of methamphetamine trafficking, law enforcement agencies are working together to share intelligence and disrupt the supply chain. The guilty plea of Robert Holman is a significant step forward in this effort.
