Local Law Enforcement Takes Down Methamphetamine Ring
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA – In a major blow to local crime, Dejuan Bernard Williams, a 27-year-old from Detroit, Michigan, was sentenced to 60 months of incarceration for a serious drug charge.
According to authorities, Williams was found guilty of possessing more than 50 grams of methamphetamine in Marion County in October 2019. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Brandon S. Flower, who argued that Williams’s actions posed a significant threat to the community.
The investigation into Williams’s activities was led by the White Hall Police Department, with support from the Drug Enforcement Administration. U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh presided over the case, ensuring that justice was served.
The charges against Williams stem from his admission to having more than 50 grams of methamphetamine in his possession in November 2020. This amount is considered a significant quantity, and authorities believe that Williams was involved in the distribution of the illicit substance.
The sentencing of Williams is a significant victory for law enforcement, who worked tirelessly to bring him to justice. This case serves as a reminder of the dangers of methamphetamine and the importance of holding those responsible accountable for their actions.
As we continue to fight against the scourge of methamphetamine, we must also acknowledge the bravery and dedication of our law enforcement officers, who risk their lives every day to keep our communities safe.
Williams’s 60-month sentence is a harsh reminder of the consequences of engaging in illicit activities. We urge anyone with information about methamphetamine trafficking to come forward and assist our authorities in their efforts to dismantle these rings.
