A group of four illegal aliens from South America, including Chilean nationals Luciano Alexis Silva Cifuentes, Enjerbet Alejandro Rojas Silva, and Leandro Felipe Pino Uribe, and Venezuelan national Nobuaki Jesus Lara Watay, were indicted on May 12, 2026, for their alleged involvement in a multistate burglary ring that targeted homes in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Florida, resulting in approximately $1 million in losses. The burglars, who traveled from South America to commit the crimes, were supported by Watay, who lived in Florida and provided them with rental cars, Airbnb rentals, and financial assistance. The investigation was led by the Milwaukee area Homeland Security Task Force, which includes the FBI, Department of Homeland Security, and Internal Revenue Service.
The burglary ring was responsible for over a dozen completed and attempted residential burglaries, with stolen items including U.S. currency, jewelry, firearms, precious metals, and rare coins. The defendants allegedly conspired to violate U.S. laws, transported stolen property across state and international borders, and laundered their criminal proceeds. The charges against them carry maximum penalties of up to five years in prison.
The investigation was initiated by the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office and joined by the Homeland Security Task Force, which worked together to gather evidence and build a case against the defendants. The indictment is a significant blow to the multistate burglary ring and demonstrates the effectiveness of interagency cooperation in combating organized crime.
The defendants’ alleged crimes have caused significant financial losses for the victims and have undermined the sense of security in the affected communities. The indictment sends a strong message that law enforcement agencies will work together to hold accountable those who engage in organized crime and violate U.S. laws.
