Lance Rotolo Jr., a 20-year-old from Harvey, Louisiana, was sentenced to 124 months in prison for coercing a minor into sexual activity. The crime occurred between January 2025 and February 1, 2025, in the Eastern District of Louisiana. Rotolo Jr. used interstate and foreign commerce to persuade, induce, entice, and coerce the minor. He pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Eldon E. Fallon on July 23, 2026.
The prosecution was handled by Assistant United States Attorney Lynn E. Schiffman of the Narcotics Unit, with assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The case was part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Rotolo Jr.’s sentence includes 10 years of supervised release and a $100 special assessment fee. The US Attorney’s Office praised the work of the FBI in helping to bring Rotolo Jr. to justice.
