Keith Andre Green, Methamphetamine and Fentanyl Trafficking, Montana 2023

MISSOULA — Keith Andre Green, 50, of Missoula, was convicted by a federal jury on June 25 for his role in the armed trafficking of methamphetamine and fentanyl. The trial, which concluded after two days, saw Green found guilty of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances, possession of firearms and ammunition in furtherance of drug trafficking crimes.

Green faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years to life in prison, a $10 million fine, and five years of supervised release on the conspiracy charge. Additionally, he faces at least five years to life for the firearms and ammunition charge, which will be served consecutively to any other sentence. Sentencing is scheduled for October 22.

U.S. Attorney Jesse Laslovich praised the investigation led by multiple agencies, including the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Missoula High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force, Montana Division of Criminal Investigation, and Missoula County Attorney’s Office. The investigation revealed Green was a significant meth and fentanyl distributor in Missoula and Mineral counties. Authorities seized over 4,000 fentanyl pills and nearly 5 pounds of meth from his residence.

According to court documents, Green traveled to Spokane, Washington, weekly between May 2022 and September 2023 to receive large quantities of drugs, which he then traded for firearms. The search warrants executed in February and September 2023 yielded substantial evidence of his drug trafficking operation.
