Jimmie Lloyd Skelton, Child Pornography Possession, Missouri 2024

TULSA, Okla. – A Warrensburg, Missouri man has been handed a tough sentence for his depraved crime of child pornography possession, announced U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson.

Jimmie Lloyd Skelton, 34, was sentenced to 168 months imprisonment by U.S. District Judge Gregory K. Frizzell. His sentence is followed by 15 years of supervised release and a sex offender registry requirement upon his release.

The Claremore Police Department’s quick response to a report of child exploitation led them to Skelton, who was caught masturbating to a video featuring a child under 12 years old. Upon searching the homeowner’s residence, law enforcement discovered several electronic devices owned by Skelton. These devices contained videos secretly recorded by Skelton of the child victim.

Skelton will remain in custody while awaiting transfer to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons. The investigation was conducted by the FBI and the Claremore Police Department, with Assistant U.S. Attorneys Scott Dunn and Stacey Todd leading the prosecution.

This case is a part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse. The project aims to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children online and identify and rescue victims. For more information on Project Safe Childhood, visit Justice.gov/PSC.
