MOBILE, AL – The grim halls of justice have once again delivered a severe rebuke to a predator: Jeremy Kinsey, from Baldwin County, Alabama, has been meted out a 30-year sentence for the heinous act of producing child pornography.
In January 2024, Kinsey admitted his guilt on five counts of production and one count of possession of child porn. The court records paint a sickening portrait of his depravity: in April and May of 2023, Kinsey engaged in WhatsApp video chats with adult women who were sexually exploiting minor children, including an infant, from the Philippines.
This case is a chilling reminder that predators lurk beyond borders, using technology to exploit the innocence of our most vulnerable. Evidence retrieved from Kinsey’s device revealed he was paying these women to sexually abuse their children at his command while he recorded their crimes.
Judge Callie V. S. Granade sentenced Kinsey to 360 months for production and an additional 240 months for possession, with both sentences running concurrently. After serving his time, Kinsey will be subject to a 15-year term of supervised release. He is also required to undergo mental health evaluation, complete sex offender treatment, and register as such upon his release.
Investigation into this case was a joint effort by the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Homeland Security’s Homeland Security Investigations. Assistant United States Attorneys Beth Stepan and Kacey Chappelear prosecuted the case with unwavering determination on behalf of the United States.
